Michaela took excellent care of our older dog. Lots of updates, pictures, and extra walks.
Michaela took great care of Rocky! She stayed at our house and made sure Rocky was well taken care of and he was very happy to get some walks in throughout the week. She gave us updates and sent some cute pics! We would definitely recommend Michaela!
Michaela & Josh were SO good to our Kaiser man!!! He was so tired after his stay, we are so grateful! Owning a high energy dog, I often worry if his needs will be met. Michaela & Josh did such a great job making him feel at home :)

A typical day
On a typical day of caring for a pet that I’m watching, I like to play in the backyard with them or if they have a toy they love I will play with them for a while a couple times during the day. I also will take them outside for a walk, and of course, lots of pets and cuddles

Availability
I am a Physician Assistant and I recently started working in the emergency department. I started Rover at the end of 2023 while waiting to start my new position, and I really enjoyed being able to care for other people’s pets and being around animals as I always have growing up, and I wanted to continue doing so. On average, I work 3-4 shifts per week 10 hours in length. On those days when I work, my fiancé Joshua Backhus, who is an engineer working in the automotive industry, helps make sure the animals get out to go to the bathroom and get the care they need!
