Pet care experience
I am a recent graduate from Cornell University who has previous experience working at a vet clinic and has been in the petsitting business for many years. Both of my parents are local veterinarians and I spent several years working as a vet tech assistant at the local veterinary emergency clinic. I currently own my own petsitting and pet care business, Michaela’s Pampered Paws and Claws LLC. I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, horses, and various other animals. I also have experience with puppies, senior dogs and cats, reactive dogs and disabled dogs.

Michaela took great care of our two dogs while we were away. She sent twice daily updates and loved them like they were her own dogs! We would definitely have Michaela keep our pups again.
With help of Michaela, we finally found a solution for boarding our cat! After attempts with boarding locations, having Michaela drop in resulted in our shy cat being happy and not stressed. Great experience for the cat and us!

What makes our facility unique? We run our business directly out of our home and treat each of our residents as our own pets. At Michaela’s Pampered Paws and Claws, we do not use any crates or cages. Every furry resident gets their very own bedroom! Our unique pet suites are decked out with fluffy beds and a variety of toys for your pet to enjoy. If your pet is used to sleeping with humans, we are able to sleep in the pet suites with your pets to increase their comfort. Dogs are welcome to bring their personal belongings to make their individual rooms feel more like home. We also have a fully fenced in spacious backyard for outdoor playtime. At our facility, we pride ourselves on our high quality care. To ensure each pet gets the utmost attention and best quality of care we limit the number of residents we take at a given time. We never take more than four residents at a time as this ensures each resident gets lots of love, attention and the best quality of care.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to better accommodate your pet. Your pets’ happiness and well-being are my top priority. If you have any special requests regarding your pet I would be more than happy to accommodate you!
A typical day
I typically take doggy residents on about two-three walks a day, but am happy to do more walks a day upon request. We also let boarders out in our fully fenced spacious backyard for supervised playtime and potty breaks throughout the day in between walks. I have lots of toys around the house for playtime and pets are allowed on all the furniture! I work from home so I have lots of time to hang out with your pet, take them on lots of walks, and give them lots of love and attention. You are able to choose whether you would like your dog to socialize with other residents. If your pup loves other pups and playtime then we are happy to facilitate supervised playtime with other friendly residents. However if you would prefer your dog be separated, the individual pet suites make separation of residents very easy and safe. Pups who are not allowed to socialize with other residents still receive just as much one on one attention and outdoor playtime as pups approved to socialize!
