Hi, my name is Michaela. I grew up in Carpinteria on a ranch, and have owned horses, sheep, chickens, doves, hamsters, cats and dogs. Growing up, I raised both large and small dogs. Right now, I own a Border Collie, a Havamalt (Havanese Maltese), and a hen. The three of us are one big family. As well as owning dogs, I am an experienced estate manager and house sitter. I watch cats, dogs, and exotic animals for both weekend trips and extended holidays. My business is generated via referral, and I have worked with the same families for multiple years. I have bonded with the families, celebrating doggie birthdays and pet milestones. As well as taking care of dogs and cats, I feel comfortable with other animals as well. I love updating owners with photos and videos so they can stay connected to their pets. Currently, I work from home, which allows me to communicate with owners throughout the day. I take care of my dogs like they are my children. I typically let out and feed my dogs between 6-7am. After eating their first meal, I take my Havamalt for a walk (typically 20-30 minutes). Primarily inside dogs, they go outside every 2-3 hours for bathroom breaks. Throughout the day, we play fetch and tug of war with their toys. In the evening around 6pm, I feed both dogs and administer prescribed medication to my Border Collie. My favorite times with them are our adventures hiking and walking on the Bluffs. My family uses Rover throughout the US, and I am excited to expand my business on this platform. I can't wait to meet your pet!
