I've been dog sitting on and off since I was 11 years old. I will always remember my first client, Gus. He was a fun-loving yellow lab and we became best friends. His owner was out of town 2-3 days per week for about a year, then for 6 months she would be gone for two weeks at a time and come back over the weekend to pay me. Gus and I would go on two walks a day. Sometimes for fun, we would race each other (on a leash of course). I took him out 3-4 times a day and fed him twice a day. On the occasions the owner was on business trips for 2 weeks, I also fed her cats and changed their litter box and ket her home tidy. I was very sad the day they moved back to Texas. From then on till I finished high school, I consistently petsat for two families on my street, and a few different families in the neighborhoods during their family vacations. Currently, I am a joint caregiver of my boyfriends lab/ hound mix, Aella. We got her from RAL three years ago and she has stolen our hearts. She's loving and obedient and LOVES other dogs. If I could provide care for dogs successfully enough to provide a full individual income, then it's safe to say I've found my passion.
