Michaela and my dog, Murphy had a really lovely weekend :). Highly recommend Michaela.

We booked Michayla to house sit and care for our dog and two cats. We felt confident in our choice because she has so many high reviews, but we were extremely disappointed with her service. During her stay we did not receive one picture or unprompted check-in unless she needed something. We didn’t even know when or if she arrived in our home until we contacted her to make sure. We expected to return to a home that was as clean as we left it for her. We returned to a dirty house that reeked of trash, urine, and feces, and we were unpleasantly surprised to find: - Dog diarrhea all over a bedroom/office floor, which dried into the (new) carpet, along with two dried pee stains. - Dog diarrhea in the living room. - A large dog poop on the living room rug that was at least a few hours old, though she claimed to have been at the house and taken the dog out 40 minutes before we returned home. - Smeared/dried dog poop smudges in bedroom, hallway, and family room - A dried pee puddle on our duvet cover that soaked through to the insert and was never cleaned. The bedroom was… pungent. - Trash full, swarming with bugs, never taken to the curb after a schedule was given in writing. - A bag of her old food & groceries left out on the counter. - Several plants dead or dying- we paid extra for their care and I wrote out a watering schedule. - Mail never taken in from the front door, and a package that was left out in the hot sun for several days that contained our dog’s medicine. - Pet water fountain was so dirty it was clogged and malfunctioning- though we never specifically asked her to clean it, it was obviously in need of care because it was making noise and barely trickling out water. Fresh water is the bare minimum. - Litter boxes full, litter spilled out all over the ground with some stray poop on the floor and cat pee all around the floor outside the box. We have a partially disabled cat and told her that she sometimes misses the box, and left a bottle of floor cleaner on the table for this very occasion. - A sink full of dirty dishes - Cat dishes crusted over with days-old food, after we specifically mentioned during the walk-through that one of our cats gets face rashes if her bowls aren’t clean. - A dishwasher overflowing with mold - we thought we ran it when we left for the airport, but it looks like it either didn’t start or the soap never released, so this one is partially on us. But, she was supposed to be staying with our pets for 9 days and obviously never opened the dishwasher. - Splattered cat food and pumpkin caked all over the white countertops- they are still stained orange several washes later. She offered to pay to have our carpet professionally cleaned, but coming home to this much mess and neglect felt like a violation, which was the bigger problem. We are thankful that our pets are safe and okay, but I would not trust this sitter with my home or pets again under any circumstance and I highly recommend you employ someone else.
