I have grown up with dogs all my life, but do not currently own one. I have a lot of experience dog sitting and dog walking. I used to volunteer at PAWS in Lynnwood, and would do everything for the dogs from cleaning their cages to taking them for walks, feeding them, and introducing families to adoptable animals. I have worked with excitable dogs, scared dogs, rescue dogs who were previously abused, etc. I have experience with old dogs, and giving oral medications (I do not have any experience with animal injections, however). When it comes to training assistance, I do not have much experience training myself, but have worked with dogs in training and stay consistent with owner instructors. I am comfortable staying at other people’s houses or just doing a stop by or taking dogs for walks, but as I own a cat myself I cannot bring the dogs to my house unfortunately. As for my availability, as a medical student I actually have a relatively flexible schedule, and am hoping that I can walk dogs for a little extra cash and some excuses to get away from the study load. Additionally, if your doggo likes other dogs, I have classmates with dogs as well and would love to take your sweet one on doggie play dates, if that interests you!
