I have taken care of a mini dachshund with walking issues from arthritis/amputation for the past seven years as one of her two "people". Coming from rural Maine, I'm very used to taking dogs for hikes, evening strolls, and general outdoor exploration! I also lived with and helped care for a minimally trained sheltie for two years.
