Pet care experience
From owning dogs and cats since the age of 3, I was taught to treat animals with respect and love at an early age. I take being a dog AND a cat person with pride, and caring for them comes very naturally; whether it be feeding, walking, housing or even teaching my father’s dog new tricks. I’ve given IV fluids as well as thyroid pills, flee and tick medication and ear ointments. I’ve always been a volunteer as the neighborhood dog walker and sitter, and a frequent visitor/donor to animal shelters around central MA.

Michaela was excellent with my pup gio! She kept me updated throughout the trip and I could tell gio was having a great time with the pictures and temperament when he came home. I’ll definitely ask Michaela to watch gio again when I’m out of town!
Michaela is a great petsitter and loves being around animals and taking care of them. I was so happy to leave my dog Percy with her when I was travelling because she was excited to watch him and I knew she would be very attentive and responsible. Michaela did a great job with my dog, especially considering he is still very young and full of energy. She made sure Percy got plenty of walks, pets, and love. She went above and beyond what I would expect from a dogsitter and I was very comfortable leaving her responsible for my baby because I knew she would treat him as her own. I would love to have Michaela watch my pet again and I would recommend her to anyone who needs a little extra help caring for their fur babies!
Michaela has always treated my dog and cats as family, the care and time she takes to make sure they’re happy is above and beyond what is expected. Pretty sure they may like her better than me now as they are always so happy to see her walk through the front door. I trust Michaela to feed, walk and play with my fur balls any day of the week. 10/10 would recommend Michaela

While caring for a pet in my home, I make sure to give the pet time to adjust. I usually make itineraries and pre-planned walk routes to take depending on how much exercise the pet desires. The pet will also sleep in my room either with me or in a crate, whichever they are most comfortable with! I set aside large amounts of play time and keep to a strict feeding routine if need be. Every pets needs are different, whatever they need I adjust accordingly! It is my pleasure to be with them in the first place, and always put them first.

Special diet and exercise should be known immediately. Any triggers such as noises, certain people, etc should also be brought to my knowledge. At this time, I do not watch any dogs or cats that are not potty-trained!
A typical day
I love to play with cats and dogs, anywhere doing anything. I love planting treats inside kongs, throwing a tennis ball in a local park, play tug of war, and cuddling/playing music for them. Specifically for cats, I LOVE to watch them pounce and play with catnip treats.

Availability
I’m looking to walk and take care of pets after work… I only work 4 week days and have every weekend and holiday off! I’m interested in spending time outside as well as housing pets overnight on the weekends.
