I am proud to work with a man that truly understands dog people and built a great business around that philosophy. More about me. I am semi-retired which means I still work, I just do what I love to do now instead of slaving for "the man". What I love to do is be around animals, help people and fix things. So besides my dog care business, I also run a small handyman operation. You would be surprised how well those two seemingly different vocations go together. It seems that people that need help with their dogs also need to have have small repairs done around the house (which were usually caused by the dog to begin with! - LOL!) I have always had dogs, except for a brief stint in the Army but even then we had a few "adoptees" around the base. My family was always dog-centric meaning cats were rare and if we did keep them, it was for rodent control in the barns. Dogs were family, cats were transients. I love all kinds of dogs, but I am partial to larger dogs. I know they can be a handful but to me it never seems to be a problem. I enjoy helping with training and socializing. I don't have an age preference. I know older dogs sometimes need special care. Getting to be kind of an old dog myself, I fully understand. I tell people it is better to hire someone more mature like me when considering a dog sitter or walker because of what I WON'T do for you. I don't smoke so I won't stink up your place. I don't really drink, so I won't raid your liquor cabinet. I'm not a criminal and my wife has a good job, so I won't steal from you. I've been married 25 years so I won't turn your place into a love nest. I have been disrespected over the years so I won't disrespect you or your wishes. I've lived with bums so I won't trash your place. But most of all, I won't show up, ignore your dog, and expect to get paid for "being there"! So, if you need some one to help with your dog, then I would love to hear from you. If you need some one to help with your dog AND do some Handyman things around your place, then I am definitely your guy! I'll finish with a quote from one of my favorite actors, Bill Murray, "I'm suspicious of people who don't like dogs, but I trust a dog when it doesn't like a person."
