I've had dogs my entire life For 20 years I have participated in AKC obedience trials. I put 10 titles on my dog including an Obedience Trial Championship. I think its important to understand the dogs.point of.view. toy dogs want to be close to you and tend to be very interactive. Labs and other working dogs love a purpose....and all of them love treats and to chase squirrels My role is to provide companionship and exercise for your dog. II do like to play simple games like.touch or place, stay that makes the dog think and to reward mostkt with praisre and a small treat here and there My dogs are.family to me and caring for elder dogs with joint issues or blindness is tough. Ive been through it One note: I don't allow my dogs to pull when taking them for a walk. As they pull I stop eventually they learn that when they pull That they get nowhere. This may take several walks to figure it out bjt ultimately allows you to have a more pleasurable walking experience with your dog.
