Pet care experience
My name is Michael and I live in State College. I am from Orlando, Florida originally, and lived in Ohio for a couple years before moving to Pennsylvania. My family has owned a dog my entire life. Our first dog was a Golden Retriever and Lab mix named Grant. Before Grant passed, we got a new dog named Bruiser, who was a Border Collie and German Shepherd mix. Having grown up with dogs I am fully aware of the care and love they need and deserve. Unfortunately I am unable to own a dog myself here as I do not have the time or resources to fully provide the care it needs, which has brought me to Rover. Yes I am looking to make a couple extra bucks on the side, but I also miss having a dog and love being around them. I work from 9 am to 5 pm daily but can stop by in the morning, lunch, and anytime in the evening, when I could devote extra time to your dog.

Michael has graciously helped me with pet sitting on more than one occasion. He ensured that he understood all care instructions and followed them very carefully, asking for clarification as needed. I appreciated that he left a few handwritten notes about his visits and also checked in via text to confirm that everything was going well, which often included a few pictures of my cat looking very content. Michael has always shown a genuine love for animals and shares the owner's desire for the best possible care.

A typical day
I think it is very important to understand that not all dogs are the same and cannot be treated the same. You know your dog best and if your dog likes long walks, we will go on long walks, if your dog likes to play tug-of-war, we will play tug of war, if your dog loves to relax and have it's fur combed, your dog will relax while having it's fur combed.
