Pet care experience
Welcome to Petstop Li! My name is Michael (you can call me Mike), I’m 32 years old — originally from the countryside of NJ and now residing in Westbury, Li. I am an animal lover and dog fanatic… I have owned 3 pitbulls myself, just put my baby girl Cita down June 1, and that’s when I started getting on this app more — it’s an awesome feeling to help all these dogs. I have been around large and small dogs my entire life. Growing up, I had 4 Akita's (show dogs), so I have been used to larger dogs since I was a child. I am constantly watching other peoples dogs while they are away and I came across this App and found it perfect for me! I have a few roommates (I rent the upstairs to 3 young working female professionals) who are all dog lovers and between all of us, we would take great care of your pet! I would obviously be responsible for the well being of the dog but they will show your pet love as well as be a set of eyes and ears when I can’t be two places at once. Kindly note- • *please go through my photo album* I uploaded a ton of new photos to show what the compound here looks like. I’ve been on this app for ~10 years now but only started taking it seriously recently. Some of the photos are from college (10+ years ago) I have had pitbulls , mastiffs, Akita’s, I’m trained with all breeds large and small and know different temperaments that come with each, I am a very responsible handler. • I offer 8 hour specials, for those who want to go to work and have a companion for their loved one. Please inquire directly about this service. • I offer pick up and drop off services any time any day, I have a pickup truck and can travel anywhere. I am a car guy — and own my own business & work from home mostly. If you need help with transport, please reach out directly and we will sort something out. •I can hold about ~10 dogs, and reach capacity pretty quickly at times. I offer house visits, three times a day — morning noon & night. Some dogs prefer to be at home and not around others — totally fine, they are all different. • I really do prefer a meet and greet prior to drop off — coordinate a day/time with me prior and let’s introduce your dog to the house and perhaps to any of the dogs who may be here on their stay so we can see the temperament. Many times the dogs that are currently in the house will not be here during your dogs stay - so sometimes socializing doesn't make sense. • I have a nice “doggie proofed” fenced in yard for the dogs to play, and the entire first floor of my house is dedicated to them (and myself), we have a playroom for them to hang — plenty of treats, food, water, etc and lots of love and attention!! As long as your dog is friendly with others, I’ll get them broken into the house and playing with the others within 48 hours! While you are on vacation, so are your dogs! The dogs have a great time here, that I can promise you. • I send tons of photos and videos and am constantly posting on my IG (dedicated to the doggos) @petstop.li (my personal is @pytstop) please check my page on the app to get a better understanding of the HQ here :) and give us a follow!! Some awesome content. #AllTheDogs

Michael P. cancelled a booking within a day of the start date.
Again, he was available last min! Such a relief! Very attentive to each dog and their feelings. Made sure everyone is safe
Kano had so much fun. Made doggy friends and had a nice backyard to play in. Mike took him on a walk before bringing him into his house so he’d feel comfortable with him. That’s really nice of him and a great idea! Very accommodating and easy to contact:
Very pleasant and responded back right away with any questions or concerns I had. Would hire again.

I can fit 8-10 dogs in my house pretty comfortably (believe it or not) but once I’m at 7-8, sometimes it’s easier to leave the dog at your house and I check in on them there 3x a day and go for walks. I can even bring other dogs with me (that they get along with) so when we go for walks, they have someone to play with (another fur friend). I have leashes at the front and back doors of the house that we can let the dogs go out on anytime, the backyard is properly fenced in and does not allow any street access. Dogs have access to the entire house, basically… I run an air purifier all day, have about a dozen plug in sprays throughout the house and constantly cleaning both the inside and outside (💩) daily ... I freeze big gallon water bottles, and numerous smaller Tupperware’s so I have plenty of big ice chunks and cold water to replenish the ~5-6 dog bowls that are downstairs (I bring some bowls outside if I’m working out in the backyard, BBQ/bonfiring, or just hanging out with them back there), there’s also a water bowl upstairs if the dogs want to spend time with my female roommates. Typical day- •8AM: wake up 😴 🥱 💤 •830: AM walk 🐕🦺👨🏻🦯 •930: Breakfast 🍳 🧇 •10-12/2ish: Hang out - play time, may run some errands and take some pups, etc. 🙈🐶🙉 •2PM: Treat time !! 🍬🍭🍪 •3PM: Afternoon Walk, if weather permits, and owners are OK, we go for hikes — Bethpage State Park, Cold Spring Harbor, Kings Park Bluff, Cunningham Park … to name a few spots. 🏞️ •Relax time 🏡 💤 •6PM: Dinner 🍽️ •Play and relax time🥱 •9PM: Sundown / evening walk 🦮🏃🏻♂️ •10-12PM: Bedtime 😴

The biggest thing is their temperament. But more than anything — just being honest and realistic. My pitbull Cita was amazing but she wasn’t perfect. It’s 2023 and communication couldn’t be easier (and it’s free) — I’d rather know everything about the dog, so feel free to send off a million texts or leave a VM so I can refer back to it once you drop off the dog. The dogs can change quite a bit once the owner leaves my front door. It’s 2023, communication couldn’t be easier and less expensive — I find transparency and honesty most important in a business relationship. I build a big bond very quickly with these rugrats — they know who the alpha male is.

Rover is one of my many jobs / hustles. Depending on how many dogs are at the house and what my daily plans are, I either separate the dogs prior to leaving the house or bring some with me — it’s very situational. But the dogs get all my attention first.
