Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner all of adult life. At the moment I am without a dog having lost my own last year. He was a 17 year old Border terrier. I have recently retired from full time work. I love walking and regularly walk 5 miles a day around my local park (Haslem) and Preston Docks. Although l have never looked after dogs professionally l am very confident with them and often look after my friends dogs. I have experienced in training my own dogs and am happy to assist with any dog training regime you may have. I will be the sole carer for the dog

Sid has his first overnight stay last weekend and had a great time and was spoilt rotten. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mick for any dog care, we will definitely be using Mick again in the near future.
Michael has a natural love & affinity to dogs, my 7 month old cocker spaniel George, from day 1 they became good friends & George loves his days with him. Michael takes him on lots of fun long walks & always keeps us up to date with their day in messages & photos. It’s like home from home for George at Michael’s house I don’t have any worries as I know he’s looked after so well. I 100% recommend Michael to look after your dog

I have a large gated secure garden and live within walking distance of two local parks. I have no chidren who could leave doors and gates open . I am happy to walk dogs wherever suits them wether lt be on or off the lead and solo or mixing with other dogs. In my career as a telephone engineer I have experience of working inside people's houses, many of them with dogs and I have never had any issues.I will be the sole carer

I am happy to discuss any behaviour problems with the owner ahead of looking after the dog . I will give anything ago as long it is not an over aggressive dog
A typical day
I would love to get involved with any training that is required. I have always used treat training and find it has work great with all my dogs. I love long walks and always try to vary the route . I love throwing sticks and balls if the dog has good recall and allowed off lead

Availability
I am retired and I love walking as part of my daily routine. I meet with a lot of friends on my local park who are dog owners. I have no commitments and am more than happpy to be flexible and work around you. Early mornings are no problem!
