ASK ABOUT MY PET PHOTOGRAPHY

Pet care experience

I've always had a strong interest and appreciation for animals, particularly dogs. I have owned dogs and cats my entire life. Additionally, I'm a pet photographer with a BFA in photography. My own dog is very old and requires a lot of medical treatments, which also sets me apart in terms of my experience dealing with medications for pets. Lastly, I am not afraid of otherwise difficult breeds to play with, such as pit bulls, if I have met the dog and understand its temperament.

As a diligent and responsible dog sitter, there are crucial factors I carefully consider before welcoming a new furry friend into my home. First and foremost, I prioritize assessing whether the prospective dog will harmoniously integrate with my existing four-legged companion. Fostering a peaceful and cohesive household environment is paramount, and ensuring compatibility between the two animals is essential. Equally important is the dog's willingness to follow directions and respond to training. A well-behaved and obedient canine not only makes my job easier but also contributes to a harmonious and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. To evaluate a dog's suitability for my home, I take into account its temperament and eagerness to learn, ensuring that the dog will adapt well to my environment. Additionally, considering the size of the dog is a significant factor in determining its compatibility with my living situation. I carefully evaluate factors such as available space, exercise requirements, and how the dog's size aligns with my lifestyle. This assessment allows me to make an informed decision and provide the best possible care for the dog in question. When it comes to safety, I prioritize equipping myself with the necessary tools to ensure the well-being of both the new dog and my existing companion. I always have essential safety equipment readily available, such as a sturdy leash and a properly fitting muzzle. These items serve as precautionary measures in case of any unexpected issues, particularly during initial introductions or when encountering other pets. By taking these precautions, I provide an extra layer of protection to prevent potential conflicts or accidents. In summary, as a dedicated dog sitter, I give utmost importance to assessing compatibility with my current pet, evaluating the dog's trainability, considering the dog's size in relation to my living situation, and equipping myself with the necessary safety tools. These steps ensure a secure and harmonious environment for all dogs under my care, promoting their well-being and a positive experience for everyone involved.
