Pet care experience
I currently teach agriculture at the high school level and help students in pet science and basic info about animals. I have 2 cats who I love and when the time is right I want to rescue a dog someday!

Michael is a kind, caring and diligent caregiver. I know Mike as a coworker so when I was going out of town to visit family I asked him to watch my Australian Shepherd, Lily. When I returned she was carefully taken care of and he had followed all my instructions well. Now whenever she sees Mike, she gets so excited to spend time with him! He is a great choice for all your pets needs and I trust him to take care of Lily anytime I need it.
I taught high school with Mike for several years. My dog was a regular in our agricultural science building, and he was very good with her (she loved him too). I was an animal science teacher, and a student of animal behavior, and Mike was always very interested in understanding how dogs and cats communicate. Additionally, he has taught exploratory units in pet science. Not only is Mike smarter than the average pet owner, he is as responsible as they come.

I live in downtown Concord close to a small park and willing to take dogs on walks in the area or to the dog park!

I would like to know any behavioral habits, things they may not like or enjoy, and any favorite toys. I would also like to know any information that will help me to make them as happy as possible!
A typical day
I love to be outdoors so I would take the pups on a trail if possible. If time is short, I would take them to a nearby park or walk them to one of the closest green space areas. Once at those areas, I would play fetch and try to stimulate the dog in play any way that I could.

Availability
I work full time at a high school (7:30am - 2:30pm) and sometimes I have meetings afterwards. For the most part, I can be out of school between 3 & 4pm, but do have some weekends taken up by student field trips. I am flexible with schedules, looking for both short term care and longer term if it fits both parties.
