World traveling canine companion!
Pet care experience
I volunteered for the humane society in Indianapolis for 4 years, Greencastle for another 4 years during college, and worked at a no-kill canine rescue for 2 years. I have experience with everything from delivering puppies to breaking up fights between trained fighting dogs. I believe that our capacity to create a connection with another species on the level we can with dogs is incredible and should be treated with the utmost respect. To me every dog is man's best friend, my best friend.

Skills
Information Michael M. would like to know about your pet
I have absolutely no breed preference! My personal favorites are German Shepherds, Huskies, and Pit Bulls. I believe 100% in nurture over nature and there is no such thing as a "bad" dog. We just have to understand that, just as with people, every dog has its own personality, its own history and backstory, that makes them who they are. I just want to know if they play well with others, what they like to do, and dietary preferences!
A typical day
I like let dogs explore! Knowing a dog's level of comfort both with people and other dogs is essential. Social dogs will go to the park and run around with their friends! But not every dog digs that scene (pun intended) and I believe in one on one walks in the woods where they can satiate their natural curiosity and connect to the natural world.
