Hey there, I'm Michael - I live with my partner Andjelija on the Upper East Side. We are dog lovers, and I am a former shelter worker with nearly 10 years of dog care experience. We're available for weekend in-home boarding, 3 walks per day, and have a gigantic 800ft/sq terrace for pups to sunbathe and play on. We have a Dalmatian named Rasputin (Raz), who's a total sweetheart - he seems to like the added company. We also have a senior cat named Maxine, she's extremely used to boisterous dogs and just sleeps all day.
Reviews
Michael as extremely flexible with his time (I needed a last minute weekend boarding appointment, and hit traffic on the way back to pick Zeus up), and accommodating. Zeus requires medication with his dinner, which was not a problem for Michael, and I believe Zeus really enjoyed his stay (he was super tired after being picked up!).
Mike's awesome. Our boy Sylvester had a great time and is pooped. Thank you.
Draper had a fantastic time staying with Michael and got along great with his dog. I'd definitely recommend Michael as a sitter for anyone else in need.
Michael was great! He did several drop-in visits with my dog over the holidays. He was very nice, my dog LOVED him and he sent me texts keeping me updated. I highly recommend him!

We live in a doorman building, and have a giant 800ft/sq private terrace - our dog and yours will spend their days sunbathing and playing as they please. The apartment is a large 1bd, so while they have room to run and explore they're never out of sight. We've both got plenty of dog experience, and a very social household where friends come and go - our clients usually return home exhausted from the socialization!

Before I sit for you, I'd like to know: -Any specific medical requirements your dog has -ANY history of dog aggression - we will not accept dogs with a bite history -observations about resource guarding tendencies, if any -Whether or not your dog is good off leash is good to know for when we hike and walk in Central Park in the morning

We're flexible to what your dog wants. Our dog is a playing machine, but if you've got a senior dog who doesn't want to be bothered, we can accommodate.

Availability
We're home on weekends, so your dog will rarely (if ever) be fully unattended. We do a morning walk around 7:30/8 each day, an afternoon/mid-day trip around the block, and and evening walk. Our full walks are typically ~2.5mi each, and Raz averages ~30,000 steps per day - your dog will join us on that routine. We're super flexible, so if your pet requires and special adjustment, we're more than happy to accommodate.
