Pet care experience
I've enjoyed having a dog since before I moved out of the house. My current dog, Leo is very friendly with all the neighbors-the kids love to stop and pet him. I've helped with dogs and cats when friends and neighbors are out of town. My sister's dog, Ferguson, a terrier/chihuahua mix has stayed with us off and own for a few years. It's interesting how you rise the occasion when you have a sick pet. My dog Sampson suffered from cancer several years ago now, and part of the treatment was to provide him with subcutaneous saline. In exchange for all the love and comfort a pet provides, it's paramount that we as owners provide the same in return.

Michael has been walking my dog for four years. He is kind and attentive to everything happening while out strolling. My Dudley Dog loves him! Michael is a trained hiker, having hiked many National Parks Trails. He has been terrific at easily keeping up with my large dogs exercise needs. He always says hello to my neighbors on their walks. He has never missed a commitment and I trust him.
Growing up, Mike and I always had dogs....sometimes ones that he and I found as strays. He has has several larger dog breeds as an adult, and they have always had long healthy lives. Mike really enjoys hiking and having a four legged companion with him will provide the dog with exercise and necessary stimulation. Being retired allows Mike to be flexible with his scheduling and allows for a wider range of availability. I personally have used Rover for my dogs, and feel that Mike will make an excellent walker/sitter.
We trust Michael completely with the care of our two pups. We’ve had our share of dog sitters and by far, the dogs loved Michael the best of them all. Not only are our pups well cared for, but also both Toby and Cricket are excited to spend their time with Michael. That says a lot about his character and his heart!

All my dogs have been crate trained. When we leave the house it is not an issue to use the crate. My current dog, Leo behaves very well in the house alone, so we use the crate less and less with him. Almost always he camps out by the back door waiting for us to come home.
