I started a dog walking business when I was 8 by passing out flyers at the local park. Since then I have always volunteered myself to friends and neighbors to pet sit because I love dogs, but I'd never been in the position to own them myself as my schedule has been too demanding. With that said- while working full time at my last job I would still volunteer to walk dogs at the humane society. At this time while my wife is finishing up her fellowship at the hospital I have some more time to fill, and dog walking/sitting is a great way to stay active. I think your pet would be comfortable around me because many dogs (even the troubled ones) seem to be very relaxed around me as if they can sense how calm I am.
