My wife and I have found the greatest pleasure in raising and giving basic training to many of my own dogs as well as our friends dogs.

Michael was excellent with Hank. He sent pictures and updates on him throughout his stay. Hank seemed happy to be there. Hank has separation anxiety from his person, but while with Michael and Ellen he looked like he was adjusting. He enjoyed playing with Salty, Michael’s dog. I was at ease with Michael watching him. Will definitely book again.

Michael took my West Highland Terrier into his home in September 2023. He had a dog of his own at about the same size. I scheduled a meet and greet with my dog at his home about 2-months before my 2-week trip. All went well with the dogs and us people. I was very happy with the warmth I could feel, as dog people share. He took excellent care of my dog, sending me photos (almost daily) of the walks, and play time. He gave my dog his medicine on time and used up all of the treats I provided (now my dog is spoiled. Thank you! "doggie-daddy" Dale
Michael H. and his family dog, Salty, were outstanding companions for my Rosie. I was out of town for 3 weeks and I received constant updates while he cared for Rosie like she was family. Rosie loved Michael and she was very happy, healthy and content while I was away. I can't recommend Michael enough so you should book while you can...I am sure he will be a very popular dog sitter!!!

I will walk your dog as needed and will feed on schedule always keep fresh water in bowl. My dogs have always had a full bowl of food and fresh water with ice cubes. Food will be Limited to daily suggested cups of food per day per dogs size, NO table food, but I will feed at any owners suggestion.

How social is your dog? Do they have any anxiety, such as separation, leash anxiety or fear anxiety? Are they good with other dogs, big or small? Do they shy away from human contact or exhume confidence when around people? Do they know basic commands, like sit, down, stay, come, heel, off and no?
A typical day
I love walking and staying fit. Your dog will walk as much as they are physically able. Mornings are best, because Florida afternoons can be way to hot and exhausting. Visits to Hounds of Henry as per your request, because we all know, some dogs do better with socializing than others. Basic training will be rewarded with treats, positive praise or both, whichever you prefer.

I am currently retired and have one medium size dog in house (Salty). We have hosted friends dogs and have plenty of time to devote to walks and basic training.
