I like to think I have the ability to read dogs properly to where they can be comfortable around me. My current dog (coco) who is a senior now :( Is the love of my life, granted that she is deaf. I have been able to create communications with her with my gestures and hand-signs. Every dog is different , but they all enjoy some good love and attention. All dogs deserve to be treated with care and run around until their tongs are hanging out the side of the mouth. I have all dealt will smaller dogs (Maltese) they can be fiery, but they also enjoy gentle petting and close attention. There is no replacing a good owner from its dog, but as long as you show the dog you simply want to play too, they will open up.
