Pet care experience
Hi! I am experienced caring for breeds ranging from goldens, to very active hunting dogs such as GSPs and my own French Brittany. I hike regularly with my dog who has multiple years of rattlesnake aversion training - and will alert me to them on trails. We also live across the street from a large park (veterans barrington). I have experience with training and basic behavioral work. I also have experience administering eye drops, and basic care such as removing burrs from paws, removing ticks, etc.

I have known Michael for several years and he has taken care of my golden retriever many times. He is gentle and caring with her and takes her on great walks -- both on-leash and off-leash. He also has taken care of my friend's pit bull who is a gentle dog but very strong and can present challenges with other aggressive dogs. He is devoted to his own dog and she is treated to lots of walks in the hills and at the beach. I highly recommend Michael for any dog-sitting needs. Your dog will thank you and you can rest assured that your pet will receive excellent care.

My dog requires a lot of time outdoors and so we hike regularly and spend time at the barrington dog park. I have a chest full of toys in my apartment, which is very dog friendly.

Availability
I work from home part time to allow for dog care. I live adjacent to the barrington VA dog park and Rec center, 15 minutes from mandeville canyon trailhead. I typically take my dog out for walks at 7:30am, then around lunchtime, and again later in the afternoon or evening for a longer hike potentially. My schedule is flexible, and can accommodate your dogs needs.
