I've had a dog most of my life. My border collie Sparta was one of my best friends. We lost her in 2020, but she was amazing. I trained her from 8 weeks old. She knew her right from left, could freeze in the middle of a sprint, and would play hide and seek with me and the kids on rainy days. She was such a joy. We also rescued a Shih Tsu from a mill and gave her a wonderful life. I currently own a goofy high maintenance goldendoodle. Henry. He is great with the kids and on walks. I've always loved training and playing with dogs.

I have a fenced in yard. Our current dog is fair off leash, but needs a little more training. We take him up to the school fields on nice days to play fetch and work him. I walk most all dogs with a gentile leader to teach them not to pull. They hate it at first, but don't mind after they have adjusted. I do not like choke collars, but have used pinch collars for dogs that love squirrels. I do not believe in hurting my companion, just give them a reminder that we are walking.
