Pet care experience
Ever since retiring, I’ve been very lucky to pursue doing what brings me joy: providing love and care for pups. I know first-hand that pups should get the same love that they are used to at home when their owners are away, so it’s always great to step into that role. Since I am retired, that means that I have plenty of time to spend with your pooch. I’m a great fit for animals that don’t like to spend a lot of time alone, of maybe just need a bit more attention and affection. No matter what your pup enjoys, I’ll make sure to design a stay around them and their likes. I also have a Labradoodle named Pumpkins who is very outgoing and loves to meet new friends! Even before a stay begins, I like to get as much information about your pup as possible. I always like to know if there is any specific routine your pup likes to stick to. That could mean exercise, bathroom times, eating times, any typical visitors, etc. During a stay, I like to be as detail-oriented as possible. I’m happy to take written logs of any and all of our activities if you need them. Likewise, you can expect daily updates via texts and pictures that will let you know just how your pup is getting along and what we’ve done for the day. I’m happy to go the extra mile for you and your pup, no matter what!

Michael was great for my going-on six month old black lab pup, Ari, while I was gone at a conference in Augusta all day. Michale sent super pictures of site visits with detailed notes. He also kept Ari entertained enough so my separation-anxiety prone pup would not rip up the cheap throw rugs and drag the back yard into the living room because my he loves me so much :)
Michael was incredible. He consistently sent pictures and updates of my two dogs and how they were doing. Neither dog seemed to miss me like they usually do so it was a great sign that they were well cared for. I will use Michael each and every time I need a sitter.
I was a nervous mom having hired a pet sitter for the first time ever for my tiny rescue 8-lb black & white dog and my cat (cat is a seasoned pro but not my dog). Michael came over and spent the time getting to know both animals and asked great questions to make sure he knew their routines and preferences. I asked him to come over to my house 4 times a day while I was out of town to care for my animals. Michael put me at ease right away and constantly stayed in communication to soothe my nerves. I got pictures of my pets and status updates. My rescue dog was abused and I think it was by a man or men so she has never taken to a man. Within a day Michael won her over and she is a tough customer! I would highly recommend Michael to care for your precious pets and to be in your home. I felt he was not only very trustworthy but went above and beyond to provide excellent care. Thanks Michael.

If your pup is fine to explore, we can always get out and see some of the sights and smells around the neighborhood, see if there are any dog-friendly patios or restaurants nearby, or maybe hit the trails if that’s your thing. If they’re a bit more on the easygoing side, we can always cuddle up together and watch some sports! There’s nothing better than having a new buddy to cheer with!
