I provide fun walks and visits!
Pet care experience
I am a 30 year old male working in IT Security. Safety is my #1 priority. I grew up with Golden Retrievers, Australian Shepherds and Westies. I absolutely love dogs. I have always felt a connection to them and shared a special bond. I make sure the dog does not have tension on the leash - we don't want our fur babies being choked or coughing during their fun walks. When it comes to training, it's all about connecting to your dog's energy, respectfully letting them know what their social position is (this provides relaxation and structure to the mind) and making them feel safe, while giving them the freedom they earn to explore their curiosity in the world. I will work with you for the best arrival possible, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable meeting me.
Reviews
Michael was so nice and communicative!! I can tell by the photos Copper loved him, it was written all over his face. So thankful for him being able to walk Copper and go above and beyond with playing and feeding him!
Michael was great with our doggy! Thanks again!
Michael is the dog whisperer. Seriously. Coming from a psychology background gives him incredible instincts and insight into the mind of an animal, and he offers exceptional, loving care. He has a beautiful golden retriever himself who adores him, and he'd be the perfect dog-walker for someone else's special friend.

Safety, trust & environment
I have alot of experience working with dogs from all backgrounds. I have trained dogs that were neglected, attacked, dominant, easy to care for, dogs that are good with people but not animals, and vice versa. I am very comfortable working with all types of dogs. However I prefer not to work with aggressive animals if possible so that I can continue providing outstanding care services to the other fur babies in my area.
Information Michael C. would like to know about your pet
-Where would you like the dog to go? Where are his/her favorite places to walk? -In case we encounter others during the walk, is your dog comfortable around people, children, and other animals? -What are the typical exercise requirements for your dog? -Are they high energy, or laid back? -Are they trusting and easy to meet for the first time?
A typical day
I will go wherever you suggest you would like your pet to walk. I am comfortable driving them to new parks or places if you like; I own an SUV which is equipped with a middle row, waterproof, nonslip dog seat cover which I use all the time for my own pupper. I usually like to take dogs to places they haven't been before to stimulate the nose and brain. I typically am not comfortable taking dogs to a smaller dog park because it seems that irresponsible owners who don't train their dogs or have aggressive animals all go to those smaller enclosed dog parks...... Additionally, other trainers I've worked with in the past have suggested that it interferes with the dogs' psychological well-being because they are being introduced to so many new animals in a confined environment. This leads to stress and confusion for the dog because it doesn't know where it is on the social hierarchy. I don't believe this to be the case for Colorado's beautiful open-area dog parks, like cherry creek offleash (DOLA) and the large one in Westminster. I have had better experiences there and would be happy to take your dog there if you like.
