I have had dogs for many years of my life. As a child I had a Boxer for 7 years. She was a show dog before she came to live with us. In the past 30 years I have had a Miniature Schnauzer, Kimba for almost 18 years. When Kimba passed I adopted a rescue dog who had been abused, Buddy, a Boxer/Pit Bull mix. Buddy bonded with me but was terrified of everyone else. We decided that Buddy needed a friend and we got Copper, an Australian Shepherd who was a year younger than Buddy but he helped Buddy realize that he would never be hurt again. They are best buddies and bring my wife and me joy every single day.
Reviews
Things were great. Mike was very attentive to Caymans needs and he has the largest fenced in yard I’ve seen since moving to the Villages. I talked with Mike several times while I was away and am comfortable that Cayman was having fun. He had a lot more frisbee time than I am able to provide as I have no yard and a “kissing lanai” setup. Mike is now my go to pet sitter. Hopefully his availability and my needs line up. I would need to know if dogs have any special needs, medication or anxieties. Also if dogs are used to walking on a leash. I would also want to know if dogs are afraid of other dogs or become aggressive when they see other dogs.
A typical day
I will play with the in the house and if there’s a fenced in yard I will play ball, frisbee or whatever activities the dog enjoys. I will also take the dogs for walks if that’s the normal routine.
