Pet care experience
@the.rollover.clt I have owned both small and large dogs, lazy and energetic. I also have several years experience walking and socializing dogs from all walks of life at Wayside Waifs. And I have experience with in-home dog visits/walks, as well as some experience providing medication to dogs. I've always loved dogs and have worked with a dog trainer to better understand how they communicate and the most effective ways to communicate and train a dog. Currently I own a dramatic husky, a cranky old black lab mix, and a spunky-sweet yellow lab mix. I would love to help out individuals or families with their furry family members, as I know boarding can be expensive or stressful for a dog and it's owners. We had a great experience with Micah. She communicated with us throughout that stay. Stanley was not stressed when I picked him up. He looked like he had a lot of fun playing. We will definitely book again.
We have a high needs pup, and Micah was so patient and understanding with her. Shelby warmed up really quickly and had a great day with them! Micah sent lots of updates and photos throughout the day. We will definitely take Shelby back!

Pups that board with us really just become part of the pack. They go in and out with our dogs, are fed in different rooms, but on the same schedule. And get plenty of pats and pets. One of our dogs stays separated, as he doesn’t warm up to new dogs very fast, but we’ve got the space and the system down pretty well.

We like to keep dogs on a schedule that they are used as much as we can — please let us know wether they’re fed once or twice a day; what is their demeanor around other large dogs; are they possessive of toys, food, or beds; or anything else that will make your dog more comfortable during their stay.
A typical day
With a giant fenced in yard and big windows in our front room, dogs typically stay entertained. But if that’s not enough, we’ve got our fair share of tennis balls and squeaky toys. We love a good walk through the neighborhood too.

My partner and I both work from home, Monday - Friday. Our dogs are pretty freely let out throughout the day and always first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
