Rover was great while it lasted, but I've decided my time is better spent on my career as an artist and my part time job at The Escape Challenge. --- --- --- I'm a freelance comic book artist and illustrator. I work from home and set my own schedule, so picking up dog walking and sitting gigs is a really nice side business. I grew up with pets in the home (cats, a dog, and many rats), so I know how to "speak" cat and dog- I'll be attentive to their needs and can recognize and react quickly if something is wrong. I love all kinds of pets and keep a pair of rats at home. I love cats the most, but my apartment charges an extra fee for animals larger than rodents (sigh) so I'm making do with sharing my love with everyone else's cats and dogs. I'm also a bit of a plant person (especially for succulents) and if you hire me for house sitting for a long enough stay, you'll come home to plants in even better shape than they were before! Rest assured your pet will get plenty of love- but I'll be sure to give space to any animals that prefer to keep to themselves instead. I also don't mind special needs animals- I grew up with a diabetic cat, have delivered medication for previous client's dogs, and these days I have a rat who takes daily medication and another who needs at-home tooth trimmings every few weeks. I can definitely handle big dogs who pull a lot- my parent's dog was half husky and born to pull sleds. I'm responsible, reliable, and I spend all day sitting inside and drawing so I really need an excuse to go outside.
