I had been pet-sitting both freelance and with a company for about 12 years (company called Gone To The Dogs Pet-Sitting in St. Louis). I am trained and certified in Applied Behavior Analysis ( major tool in dog and cat training) and am happy to advise on targeting problem behaviors. I’ve cared for every kind of pet including those with serious conditions such as cancer and overnight in their homes. I’ve also cared for exotic fish and birds, cats, rabbits, and even 150 Ib sheep dogs. I’m extremely diligent and have gotten high praise from owners for how happy and calm their pets appear upon their return. I’m also an avid walker and runner and am happy to take dogs on extra long walks and runs daily.

Mia pet sit & house sit for us while we were on vacation for 10 days. It was the first time we came home and found all of our pets healthy, happy, with our home spotless. She was amazing with our 5 toy dogs, 4 cats, 2 birds, 2 very large aquariums and pond with koi. She even taught our dogs some new tricks! No accidents either! The cats were happy & fed with clean litter boxes, aquarium fish with crystal clean water, does not over feed and experienced with adding chlorinated water, bird cage was cleaned and birds singing! We will definitely hire her again! ❤️
Mia has been around pets her whole life and it shows. She is very calm and approachable with every animal I have seen her interact with. Especially with my 2 dogs Inu and zuzu. She has taken every consideration for the care of my pets, eating schedule, favorite activities, any training I am working on. It’s a great comfort to know she is taking care of my pups while I am on the go. I highly recommend her for any pet sitting.

I love them all! Just need to know about any special needs (i.e. do they overheat easily? hip dysplasia? diabetes?, etc.) and behavioral needs (i.e.g skittish or overexcited around other dogs, like to chase bicyclists or cars?) so I know what to avoid while on walks/ runs.
A typical day
Long walks and/or runs in the immediate area or within 3 mile distance, if weather permits this safely. Any games they prefer (tug of war, keep away, rough housing, fetch, etc.), lots of snuggles and pets, 10 minutes of coat brushing, teeth brushing, trick, crate, leash, litter box, and socialize training (cats included), enrichment outings ( if interested).

Very flexible, mostly afternoon and evening availability Sun-Sat for walks/runs, or drop in visits. Because of my pets’ needs I’m not available for overnight stays or stays in my home.
