Reviews
Mia is always a wonderful person to have watch your pets! She is very dependable. And we always get pictures while she is there. Would highly recommend Mia!
We felt very comfortable leaving our crazy fur child in the hands of Mia! Her estate out in the country is perfect for a hunting or sporting dog to enjoy themselves with plenty of smells and areas for them to romp. She exudes confidence and calmness when dealing with larger breeds and the pictures and frequent contact back and forth let's us know that our pup is in good hands! Can't wait for the spring and summer so our dog can really make the most of what this property has to offer!
Mia is an exceptional human. Her calm home is clean and well set up for dog success. Mia's commitment to the human-canine relationship is obvious, both yours and hers with your dog. My pup came home calm and secure. Mia is great with humans, too, and was flexible and accommodating when our flight was delayed and our pup had to stay an extra day, even though t was New Year's Day. I will be calling Mia again in the future. I recommend her without hesitation. She is worth the drive from Seattle.
We were very happy with Bella's stay with Mia. This was the first time away from home for our Great Dane puppy and we were quite apprehensive to start with. However, Mia put our minds at ease - both with her quick and professional communication as well as her knowledge of dogs. Mia really loves the pets and Bella had a great time. We also appreciated the daily updates and pictures very much. We definitely plan to board Bella with Mia, in the future, any time the need arises.

Safety, trust & environment
Best practice is Safety First! Living in a rural, country environment there are distractions that include wildlife and neighborhood cats. I don't allow my own animals to chase squirrels for example. If you have dogs that go after wildlife unchecked or run the fence line/fence fight, I respectfully decline to book the appt. Also, I do not go to dog parks. Thank you for your understanding.
Information Mia M. would like to know about your pet
All breeds, all temperaments will be considered. Be open in discussing your pets particular needs. It's important to be sensitive to the animals requirements so that they have the least amount of stress placed upon them while you are away.
A typical day
On hot Summer days, treat time includes Frozen Kong's. On cold winter nights, a heated pad or warming bottle is such a soothing comfort to a pet that is being looked after by someone new. Helps to build the bond of trust with animals when one looks out for their well being, comfort and safety. I don't believe in over exciting animals, getting them hyped. My approach is to maintain a balanced environment, following their routines as closely as possible and simply provide reassurance / companionship. Riling up the dogs when their owners are away leads to possible accidents and injury. Exercising should be catered to each individual. Going on the easier side, you get your dog back in the same condition as you left them in. Overexertion, overexcitement, overheating can happen too quickly, especially when a petsitter is just getting to know your four legged family.
