Pet care experience
Hi there! Welcome to the pack! My name is Mia and I am a college student working at Stanford Medical. I am a huge animal lover and often spent my free time making power points pitching all the different pets I wanted to my parents when I was younger. I am a verified caregiver on Wag! and am on Rover looking for similar opportunities to hang out with your furbaby! I have been taking care of animals ever since I can remember. My family always had multiple Tibetan Terrier dogs at a time which I often cared for by feeding, playing with, training, and walking. My neighbors often relied on me to take care of their four cats while they were away on vacation. This past summer, my boyfriend and I raised a kitten for our family friends while they were abroad visiting family. I am not in the position to adopt a pet right now, since I hope to travel often, but I would love to care for your furry friend as if they were my own!
Reviews
Mia and Drew were awesome while boarding my pittie! They were extra accommodating and made me feel at ease leaving her with them. Will definitely be reaching out to them next time we need dog boarding!
Mia communicates well and Nala had a great time with Mia!
Mia and her partner were great! We only left our dog with them for a few hours, but we received multiple pictures and updates!
Bella had another great evening with Mia!

Skills
Safety, trust & environment
In my home, dogs are always securely leashed or closed in a separate room before opening the door to the apartment. The entire community is fenced in, including the dog park, so in case of a hardware malfunction during a walk, your pup can't make it too far before running into the fence. I also always carry treats in case pups need a distraction from other triggers.

Information Mia L. would like to know about your pet
Before dropping off your pet, I like to discuss any allergies or medical conditions they may have. I also like to go through what a typical day looks like for your pet at home, so we can mimic a routine as best we can. Of course, we need to know your pup’s favorite toys and treats so we can have some goodies to welcome them when they arrive.
A typical day
A typical day looks like an early morning walk and playtime at the dog park. In the evening, we walk one to two more times depending on your pup’s energy level. In between and all around is loads of playtime!

Availability
I currently work hybrid, so I am able to provide three walks a day and multiple potty breaks. My partner and I are very active on the weekends and we would love to bring your furry friend on field trips to the beach for long walks or hikes in the Redwoods!
