Pet care experience
My first experience with taking care of pets was at age 7 when I provided a home for my first cat. As a child, I expanded the number to 5 more cats. I began dog sitting in 2002 and have continued to take care of my friend's dogs, being an aunt to my sister's dog, and adopting two dogs on my own. I am an avid animal lover and find so much joy and happiness in taking care of animals. While I work full time, I make sure to spend as much time as possible with the cat or dog when I am pet sitting. I make their health and safety a priority and that they are loved and cared for while you are away. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and cuddling them so they feel safe and secure. Since I have grown up with both cats and dogs, I know that cats like to come to you and not vice versa. I respect their space and make sure they have what they need and feel safe and loved.

Mia did an excellent job with my kitties! My cats love her! My shy kitty came to her and trusted her, and that was so shocking to us. I guess Mia has her own way with pets. Mia is so kind, attentive, and loving! She loves animals and treats them with the utmost love, care, kindness, and respect! She took care of them like we do! Mia's attention to detail and superb communication skills comforted us while we were out. I definitely trust her to take care of my babies and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

I live in a two story condo. The steps are carpeted so my dogs don’t slip and fall. I carry one of my daschunds up and down the stairs. I have a patio where my dogs hang out sometime.

I work at home full time except 1-2 days a month. I make sure when I leave my home that they are comfortable and have everything they need while I am away. I’m usually gone 4 hours or less but at times it can be between 6-8 hours but that is rare. I LOOOOOVE dachshunds. I have grown up with them so I am most familiar with dachshunds. I also like other small dogs but weiner dogs are my favorite:).
A typical day
I live in beautiful Pasadena! I like to take dogs for long walks around the neighborhood or to Lower Arroyo trail or Lacy Park in San Marino.

I currently work full time at home except a couple days a month. If I leave my house, the longest I’ll be gone is 6-8 hours but usually it’s less than 4 hours.
