Hello Pet Families: I'm Meryl and I have had dogs and pets my entire life. I have the following work experiences in my background: dog boarding, dog walking, pet sitting for cat and dogs, rescue, socializing, and fostering dogs. I am a professional social worker working with families/children having special needs and my philosophy of compassion, respect, attending to details and care extends to my passion of animals and their owners. I value following the lead of the clients in assessing what they feel is best to carry over in the daily routine of their pets. I welcome working with all kinds of dog breeds and sizes. Meryl was great. She responded with short notice, came to the house to meet the pets and was very detail oriented. Our dog who was recently rescued and is wary of strangers took right to her. We felt very comfortable leaving our pets in her care. On her visits she texted us pics of the cats and dog and also asked questions if she had any concerns. We would not hesitate in using Meryl again and we definitely recommend her as a Pet Sitter!

Meryl did a great job of caring for and loving our Julie when we were away. Helpful updates and ensured we were comfortable.
Meryl stayed in our home and watched our girl Bailey while we were away. I can’t say enough about how wonderful she is. Meryl went above and beyond to make sure Bailey was well cared for. She took her on numerous walks, played catch and gave her tons of cuddles. I loved getting the photos and videos while I was away. Meryl made sure we were kept up to date with daily activities and schedules. Knowing that Bailey was having a ball and was being so well taken care of made it easier to be away from her. I would highly recommend Meryl to anyone in need of a dog walker or sitter. She really cares deeply for animals and treats them like their her own. She is the best!!

I want to know what makes your cherished pet safe and HAPPY so you can RELAX while you are away! I want to follow YOUR priorities about your pet including some of the following: Greeting routines - some dogs are crated and others greet by the door - entering is top priority that dog is not going to run out Walking routine: Is a walk requested? if yes, what type of collar or harness will a dog be wearing on the walk(specify if regular clip on leash to collar, harness and if a harness then what type) Will the pet sitter be putting on a dog's harness or is the dog already wearing one? Does the dog wear a coat or other attire? Poop and pee routine - is poop expected on every walk outing? Stool normally solid? Does dog get a praise or treat for pee/poop? Does dog get wiped in anyway before entering back into home (paws, backside) Does dog get towel dried from a rainy walk and if yes, will you leave out the towels? If yard:- is there a section of the yard that dog poops/pees in? -Is there a gate that needs to be checked if closed first before the dog is let into yard? Clean up preference - dog bags, hose down etc Feeding routine; How much food? Preparation of food? if multiple dogs, are dogs fed separate and if yes, where? Can bowls be picked up and cleaned after eating or left down on floor? Eating behavior - is the pet a gobbler or a picker? W hat is normal eating behavior of pet? Water/drinking: does pet's water bowl get refreshed and if yes, confirm if from the sink or bottle water Playing routine - does dog have play time preferences, such as tug war, fetch, belly rubs Leaving Routines: Does dog get put back into the crate and if yes, with or without a treat? Is dog confined to a section of the home or has the run of the home without restrictions? Personality/preferences - is your dog cautious/shy or afraid of any environmental triggers? Extroverted and bouncy high energy? Are you working on any training behaviors that you want me to carry over? Absolutely no breed preferences, ALL breeds are joyfully welcomed!
