Located in North Madison and looking to create new connections with some furry friends! I previously worked at the Oshkosh Area Humane Society as Canine Exercise and Enrichment Staff, working with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I learned so much about dog behavior and body language, and generally how to build trust and respect with each and every pet. I have experience working with pet care companies by walking dogs, feeding pets, administrating medications, cleaning, house-sitting, and anything else that was requested. I have also pet-sat for friends and family, at times administering medication and keeping with training. I have a wide range of professional experience, including taking care of chickens, chinchillas, bearded dragons, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, and fish. I myself have type 1 diabetes and have to give myself shots regularly, so working with diabetic animals is something I would be comfortable with. I have experience with feeding tubes as well. As far as my personal experience, from a young age I was passionate about animals. I grew up on a dairy farm surrounded by cats, dogs, cows, horses, chickens, and more. Throughout my life I've had my own cats and dogs, and currently have two eleven-year old cats named Voodoo and Sheba and a one-year old Pomeranian named Kuma. I have a set of paw prints of Voodoo's and Sheba's tattooed on my arm so they are always with me. I look forward to working with animals each and every day. The excitement the dogs have for going for a walk, or how eager the cats are for some attention and food brightens my day. I take great pride in building trust with each of the pets, particularly those that may have trust issues with people in the past. Not much makes me prouder than hearing from a pet parent that I am their pet's best friend and how happy it makes them to be a part of their routine.
