Pet care experience
My first pet sitting gig was when I was 12 and have consistently pet and house sat ever since! I’ve taken care of a wide range of animals from small animals such as bunnies and guinea pigs all the way up to larger animals such as horses. I’ve been an animal lover my whole life and I understand the bond between a pet and their person. My goal is to help your pet feel loved and supported while their person is away!

Merrin has house-sat for us numerous times, and she is excellent, respectful, and quickly communicates, which is helpful! She has cared for our dog and cats, keeping our house clean, locked up, and safe. She also collected our mail; if needed, she would be more than happy to do a little shopping for us if we were gone for an extended period. I highly recommend her!

Every pet that I’ve had the joy of watching has had their own set of needs and preferences! A large part of my job is learning about your pet and how I can support them best! One of my clients has an older dog that doesn’t go on walks anymore but she loves to be cuddled! Another doesn’t like to go on walks but loves to have the ball thrown for her! Our animals all have their own unique personalities and I love getting to know them and how to make them feel the most at home.

A typical day
I cater each stay to the pet! I love going for long walks and playing with toys! If your dog is an adventurous dog, I will happily take them on hikes or beach adventures or will stick to local walks around the neighborhood and playing in the backyard! Exercise is essential for my mental health so I love sharing these moments with a furry companion!

Availability
I work 5 days a week at the Four Seasons in the pastry department. My work hours are from 5am-1pm. I leave the house early but my work schedule allows for lots of afternoon cat naps and doggy snuggles with evening walks! When booked for a house sitting job, I always put your animals first! I prioritize coming back home after work to make sure that all animals are happy and comfortable.
