Pet care experience
I've taken care of dogs for 12 years. I love to love and care for animals. My family dogs have always been happy and healthy, and I currently have two dogs of my own that are well cared-for, including grooming on my own. I have a puppy, and experience taking care of puppies under 1 year. In all my years of dog care, I have worked with dogs of all ages in both genders. Each dog has their own care needs, so I am sure to give each individual dog their own affection and training.

Shadow and his family give Merissa five out of five paws! If you are looking for someone to spend less than two minutes with your pet, Merissa may not be the person for you. She stopped by roughly 30 minutes during each visit and made sure that Shadow wasn't lonely while we were on vacation. She sent multiple pictures to us every time she stopped over, even if he wasn't interested in having his picture taken. Most importantly to us, she didn't give up on him. The first couple days, he was somewhat apprehensive with someone new looking after him -- he didn't want to eat much or play (which is unlike him). On Day 3, Merissa was able to finally get him out of his funk and act like his playful self (as supported by pictures). Someone else may have just decided to not put in the effort and let our sleepy dog lie, but that wasn't the case with her! So, by all means, don't pick Merissa unless your pet is ready to have someone play with him or her while you are gone. If you want your pet to feel lonely, don't pick her, because she will make sure that your pet gets a lot of attention. And definitely don't pick her, if your pet is camera shy, because you will never have to wonder for too long how your pet is doing. However, if you want to make sure that your pet is cared for while you are away, you should consider booking her right away. Again, Shadow rates her five out of five paws and that is what really matters!

Merissa is the only person we trust to leave our dogs with whenever we are away for vacations or travel. She has 2 pet family members of her own that are truly her babies. She treats all animals as her kids, extended family members and gives each pet individual attention. She enjoys going for walks with her kids on a daily basis. She is a very trustworthy person that you can depend on to treat you pets the way you do. She understands that pet owners have a very deep and special bond with their furry friends. She treats them with the love and care we all want during the stressful time we are away from them. Whether you need someone to just check in on them or prefer daily walks for exercise, her love of animals cannot be questioned. She is just a wonderful, loving young lady with a big heart for our furry friends!

A typical day
I have a ton of fun training and teaching my dogs manners and tricks, but we play just as much, if not more! Snuggles are always loved. We can run around the yard and the dogs certainly love to join me. High energy is something I'm used to working with, and I know how to get dogs the activity they need and deserve. Walking can be relaxing or fast-paced if that is right for your dog.

I currently don't work so I will be able to accommodate almost any schedule. I do have two dogs of my own to take care of, but I would be able to spend a couple hours away from them throughout the day to take care of another pet.
