I am a lifelong dog lover with experience as a dog mom, foster parent, dog handler, and training advisor. I have over four years of companion animal care experience and can train puppies and administer medication. As a dog walker, I use my own set of tools to ensure the safety your dog, using positive reinforcement training. I love what I do and have a knack for earning the trust of dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels! I am currently able to board cats, small dogs, and senior dogs who are able to respect the space of my 6 pound, 12-year-old papillon.

I live in a small, quiet apartment with my fiance and 12-year-old papillon Ruby. She has shared our space with cats and other dogs and does fine with them as long as they respect her boundaries it. We have a small patio for fresh air and there are grassy areas around the complex to take your fur baby out to potty. We live in a pretty neighborhood for walks, within walking distance of North Acres dog park!

Before pet sitting your dog or cat, I will need to know if they are potty trained, spayed or neutered, and whether they have any health or behavioral issues. It will also be helpful to know what kind of collar or harness your dog uses. My dog Ruby is a senior toy breed and prefers small breeds. However, if your dog is relatively calm, we can take medium sized dogs. We love all dogs here, but Ruby gets along especially well with Dachshunds, Yorkies, Cavalier King Charles, Chihuahuas, Brussels Griffons and Jack Russells! As far as cats, we like any kind.
A typical day
I will take your dog on walks in our beautiful dog friendly neighborhood, down to the walking trail around Jackson Park golf club, or to North Acres off-leash area where he or she can play fetch with lots of other friendly dogs! At home they'll get lots of love, attention and cuddles as well as play time. For your cat, we have a cat tree, scratch pads, toys, and a big sunny window where they can watch birds at our feeders! We won't be hosting any other dogs while we have your kitty.

Availability
I'm currently working part time mostly from home, so your dog or cat will get lots of attention and play time! I'm available all days of the week and leave occasionally to do walks, but I'm typically only gone for two hours or less. Just enough time for a nap!
