Hello! I am a professional behavior specialist and have cared for a variety of dog breeds for over 10 years. Friends and family consult with me to learn more about the unique traits of their dog's breed and advice regarding training and canine body language. I have prior experience caring for friends and family's dogs, whether that's house sitting, boarding, or daily walks. I have a husky who has a solid, even temperament and has never met a dog he hasn't gotten along with. If interested during their stay, I can bring your pet to the local dog park, forest trails, or downtown shopping area!

Although we were nervous about using an in home sitter, Meredith did a great job with our dogs! We were pleasantly surprised how communicative she was, sending pictures and assuring us all was well while we were gone. She has a great comforting demeanor, kept them on schedule as we'd requested, and kept us informed. We'll definitely be contacting her again when the time comes.

I have a friendly male husky who can be put in his crate as needed. He uses talking buttons to "speak" and has never met a dog he has not gotten along with. We live in an apartment yet have very active lives. If your dog stays with us, we will spend the majority of their time outside on a leash, whether that's at the park, walking, or exploring the area.

Their abilities on leash, if they are off leash trained, behavior around other dogs, bite history, and how they behave around new people. If you have certain commands/expectations that you would like me to maintain, please let me know before ahead of time! For example, if you are working on jumping behavior, I'd be more than happy to do so.
A typical day
We will go out into nature! I love to visit the surrounding parks and nature walks (PWC parks, dog park, and Neabsco Regional). We can go on a 1-3 mile run, or just walk the trails together. If your dog has previous experience, I am happy to visit the local dog park (detailed info about their past experiences needed beforehand). If interested, I would also love to run mini-training sessions with your pup. Please let me know, leave treats, and notes about what you are working on with them.

Availability
I'm available for boarding, walks, and drop-in's on weekends and get off from work at 2 pm each weekday. Especially if your dog is high energy, we will go on 30 min morning walks, 30 min afternoon walks, followed by an activity like going to a local trail park to walk, dog park, or downtown shopping. My husband and I are avid runners. If you would like us to go on a run with your pooch, please let us know beforehand! Drop off times: Weekdays: after 4 pm Weekends: 6 am - 8 pm When you submit an inquiry, please provide a description of your dog's personality, training abilities, dietary restrictions, and how they walk on a leash.
