Hey, I'm Meredith! I'm a recent Charleston transplant from Massachusetts. I love the warm weather here! When I'm not working, you can find me hiking, cycling, reading outside, or taking pictures (when I'm not playing with dogs). I've been dog sitting and dog walking for over five years, primarily working with medium to large-sized dogs. I also volunteer at the Charleston Animal Society in my free time, working with their dogs on socialization, manners, and general care. I am well-versed in dog handling, basic training, and understanding dog behavior. Most commonly on Rover, I help with walking, feeding, bathroom breaks, playing, and house sitting. I'm very flexible and willing to work with you and your fur baby (or babies) to ensure that everyone is happy! I lost my own fur baby in March 2020, and I'm looking to fill the hole she left by providing care for and spending time with other dogs-- I mean it when I say I'll love them like my own! Meredith Berube stayed with our very active 1-year-old Golden Retriever, Tracy, one weekend. We had had Tracy for just over a month and were very concerned about leaving her. We were lucky to find Meredith, who lived nearby and was able to stay at hour home. We didn’t want Tracy staying somewhere else after just coming to live with us. Meredith played with Tracy in our yard, and gave her lots of love and attention. My neighbors will attest to that 😊 She also sent us photos several times throughout the day and answered all my anxious texts! We had the utmost confidence in Meredith and would be very happy to have her stay with Tracy again.
Meredith was very comfortable with my active GSD rescue puppy. He was in good hands. I’m looking forward to using Meredith again.

A typical day
I love to work with dogs to provide physical and mental stimulation! Typically, most walks will take place in your neighborhood and usual routes to maintain routine and structure, but am also happy to take your pup on an excursion if desired! Note: I do not take client dogs to dog parks, and all dogs remain leashed even if in an off-leash area.

I own my own business and work remotely, so I am able to care for dogs during the regular 9-5 workday and can adjust my schedule to best fit your needs.
