Pet care experience
As a second year Veterinary Student at Colorado State while wrapping up my Masters in Animal Nutrition from CSU as well, I am dedicated to pet health and safety. My goal is to create a healthy and happy environment for every pet I encounter. My previous experiences include interning at several veterinary clinics, working on farms, participating in life changing animal health research, and being the pet parent to my super excitable German Shepherd- Border Collie mix. Based on these experiences, I have knowledge in giving medications, caring for elderly dogs as well as puppies and the everyday husbandry of animals. I am open to hiking with dogs as well as walking for longer distances. I will always do what’s in the dogs best interest. I look forward to helping your dog become healthy and making you happy!
Reviews
We were very impressed with Mercer! He went above and beyond to take amazing care of our animals. He very clearly loves what he does, and it shows. We had some challenging and unforeseen circumstances arise with our pup, and Mercer did his absolute best to make sure our dog got great care. We have other critters in the house who were just spoiled rotten in the best way possible. It was a great experience. We would definitely use him for pet sitting again, and we are rooting for his continued success in vet school.
Mercer was great with our two dogs while we were away!
Very kind, dogs immediately
Mercer was amazing. 100% recommend. Seriously could not have asked for anyone more responsible and kind to our pups.

Safety, trust & environment
I take safety and a clean environment very seriously and will ensure that I leave no trace in any home that I visit. As an Eagle Scout, I find it extremely important to ensure transparency, so I will usually update clients throughout the duration of my visit particularly with younger puppies or older dogs.

Information Mercer B. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences. However, I would like to know typical levels of aggression as well as important sensitive areas on the dog that may cause aggressive behavior.
A typical day
I am open to attending dog parks with dogs who are dog park friendly as well as hiking. Anything I can do to make hikes interesting and fun I will do including playing with toys and giving owner approved treats.

Availability
I am currently a veterinary student at Colorado State in a dual program, my schedule can get quite busy with afternoons and early mornings easily free and clear. Due to this, my schedule may get booked up faster than others, however, the quality care provided will be sure to impress both you and your pet. I am always flexible with timing as well.
