Hi! I am dedicated dog sitter with over 7 years of experience caring for furry companions of all breeds and sizes. My journey with animals began during my teenage years when I volunteered at local animal shelters. There I learned the importance of patience, empathy, and understanding of the animal language. Over the years, I honed skills in pet care, including feeding, walking, grooming, and administering medications/ emergency treatment. My compassion for animals extends beyond professional duties; I believe in creating a nurturing and loving environment for every animal under my care. Whether it's a playful puppy or a senior dog needing extra attention, my approach to meet each dog's unique needs and personality with a keen eye for detail and a genuine love for animals. Mercadez was so accommodating and loving with my two chihuahuas! I felt confident that they were happy and comfortable with her. I had to extend my trip a day and it was very easy to do so with my booking with Mercadez. If she is available in the future I will definitely rebook!

Mercadez took wonderful care of our dog for an extended stay. Our dog is typically anxious with new people but she sensed Mercadez’s calm and loving demeanor and opened up to her immediately! Our dog got lots of walks and love during her stay and we loved receiving photos, videos, and updates twice daily. This was our first time using Rover.com and we look forward to working with Mercadez again!
Mercadez is stellar pet sitter! She was excellent with communicating before, during and after hosting our fur baby at her place. She took awesome care of our precious angel. Mercadez is responsible, conscientious, dependable, very accommodating and super friendly! We very much appreciated the daily updates (twice a day with multiple pictures and videos) and how she was able to administer medication to our dog with an ongoing ear infection. I think our fur baby felt at home and had an excellent time with Mercadez! I’d definitely recommend her services if you’re looking for an impeccable experience for both you and your pet!

There is a large open park less than 5 min away. I can also walk along Eastern Parkway with many grass areas. For the ones that are unable to walk far or dog aggressive, I also have a relief area in the back of the building with plenty of room to run around.

Kindly let me know if your dog/cat has any separation anxiety, medication requirements or okay with stairs ( I live on a 4 floor walk up) if your fur baby is under 30 lbs I can carry up and down. As well house trained and if this is the first time stating with a sitter. We can schedule a meet and greet to get better acquainted and be sure it's a best fit for us all. :)
A typical day
A fun day will start with a brisk walk along Eastern Parkway and the neighborhood. If your fur baby is not dog aggressive, we can enjoy going to the park near where he/she can be off leash in an enclosed private area and run around. I also have many toys at home from ropes, balls, chew toys, and stimulating food obstacles for them to play with and stay entertained.

I work part time multiple days out the week for less than 5 hours at a time and home on the weekends. The alternative days I have remote college classes.
