Pet care experience
I’ve had pets my whole life and one of my favourite hobbies is enrichment for my cats and dog. I’ve independently cared for disabled, ill and pregnant cats and dogs, as well as a variety of exotic animals including Guinea pigs, birds, fish, horses, and turtles! I have a German Shepard, so I’m very comfortable caring for large dogs.

Memphis was great with our cat- sent lots of detailed updates, photos and videos every day and clearly took the time to get to know him. He has a lot of personality and Memphis kept him entertained the whole time we were gone.
I’m obsessed with my dog and have pretty high standards of care for him and I cannot say enough about Memphis! My dog absolutely adores her and I feel totally relaxed when she’s taking care of him; she’s great at sending updates and pics as well! I find she goes the extra mile playing with him, keeping him entertained, plans enrichment activities for him when he’s being needy and even helps him be a better dog somehow (I swear he was better behaved when I came home?) Anyways cannot reccomend her enough, 10/10 dog sitter, my doggo loves her and so do I!

Aside from the safety information, their meds, their routines, etc, it’s always good to know a dog’s interest, just like anyone else! What kind of treats they like, what their favourite toys and activities are. And anything they don’t like, whether that’s yucky treats or they don’t like their tail touched.
A typical day
I believe mental stimulation is just as important as physical activity, I love to do puzzles and learn/practice tricks with dogs and cats. When it comes to outings, I love a good long walk, for dogs that are really social, I like to walk along the Meewasin trail during the daytime, or take a stroll around the USask campus where they can get infinite pets! And for dogs that are less sociable or like to keep to themselves a bit more, I love the Sutherland off-leash area, where there’s lots of smells, sensory stimulation and space to roam.

I’m a university student so my schedule is very open and flexible. During the summer I’m available 24/7. I can be available early morning, day time, evening and overnight.
