Come hang out at Auggie’s house!!
Pet care experience
Hello!! My name is Memorable Jones. Call me Memo or Mem (they/them or he/him). I have a 9 year old Australian shepherd named Auggie who is my constant companion. We live in a cottage style house in the beautiful Orchard Homes neighborhood of Missoula and have access to all kinds of outdoor spaces where we can romp to our heart’s content. Long before Auggie came into my life, I grew up in a family of dog lovers and became well acquainted with the art of pet care from a young age. For someone like me, looking after dogs comes second nature.
Reviews
Memo was super communicative and easy to book with, and took amazing care of Banjo! Thanks Memo and Auggie!
Memo was WONDERFUL! I have a two year old border collie who is extremely high energy. Memo really took the time, and went the extra mile to WEAR. HIM. OUT. She was very sweet with our dog, and took care of him as if he were her own. Memo seemed very intuitive to our dogs needs, and adjusted things so he would be more comfortable. Memo was very commutative, and gave wonderful pupdates! Our dog had a freaking blast, and I'm extremely grateful we booked with Memo. 10/10 would recommend!!!
Memo has been taking care of my dog for the last 2 years and I could not be more satisfied. I have a 4 year old golden doodle that absolutely adores Memo and is always so sad when they leave. Memo takes my dog on extensive walks and dog park visits and most of all gives him so much love.

My yard is securely fenced and the back door to my house has a dog door so dogs can come and go as they please. For pups who are boarding with me, they will have their own designated room where they may relax between adventures if they desire some space of their own. Auggie does not need to be crated so if your dog does a crate will need to be provided.

Information Memo J. would like to know about your pet
While Auggie gets excited about shepherding dogs at play, outside of that he is generally indifferent to other dogs. At best he respects and tolerates their presence in the house. He has no interest in engaging in 1 on 1 play, and is stressed out when he’s around dogs that are constantly in his face trying to goad him into something. Our accommodations are ideal for those looking for a chaperone for their dog, NOT a buddy. If you have a dog that would struggle with giving Auggie his space, I would encourage you to seek services elsewhere.
A typical day
Morning walks are typically around 2-2.5 miles long, with afternoon/evening walks around 1-1.5 miles. As aforementioned, Auggie and I always play fetch as we go along. Our goal is always to have 2 walks a day, but it is not at all unheard of for us to go on 3 walks a day, especially if we have a high energy pup in our care. If you have the kind of pup who can work with and would benefit from this regiment, it would be our pleasure to include them. Our neighborhood is also an off leash paradise!! Some of our favorite locations to walk are: Big Sky Equestrian Park, the DNRC, Tower St. trails, 7th St. trails/Kelly Island, Fort Missoula Regional Park, and Blue Mountain. Aside from outdoor activities, I spend the majority of my time at home with Auggie. Resting up from our adventures is equally as important as their pursuit. When I do leave the house, Auggie is also a very sociable boy who loves meeting people, so whenever possible he accompanies me on errands and shopping trips to places that allow dogs. He loves tagging along even if it just means a car ride. If your pup has a similar disposition, leashed-up social outings and/or car rides can also be incorporated into my care for them.

Our day-to-day activities revolve around Auggie’s 3 greatest passions in life: 1. Accompanying me at all times, 2. Playing fetch, and 3. Politely yet sternly shepherding dogs who are playing fetch with a frisbee or ball. Often when we go for a walk I tap into his enthusiasm for fetch and toss his beloved ball along as we go. We always take at least 2 daily walks, one morning and one evening, totaling anywhere from 2-5 miles by the end of the day. Whenever possible we also like to explore the mountains on a good hike, ideally trekking for 2-5 miles once a week or so. We strive for our activities to go beyond basic duty, and for every day to have a little sense of adventure to it!!
