*While we live in the highlands, I am in Cook St Village Monday-Friday for work so we can always meet there* Originally from New Zealand, I have recently become a permanent resident of Canada. I began working with dogs at the beginning of 2018 with a daycare and boarding facility, and now spend my days as an Adventure Hike Leader with packs of offleash dogs. I spend a lot of my free time out exploring Vancouver Island with my Mini Aussie pup, Tui. He is one high energy pup so long walks in the bush are a favourite way to spend our weekends. We are renting out in the highlands and have a fenced in dog yard, as well as a large field fenced off from the road. There are other tenants on the property, so we prefer quiet dogs or dogs which will stop barking on command. They are only home alone for 4-5 hours/day as my boyfriend and I work opposite schedules. I make sure they are all tuckered out before I leave in the morning and he keeps them company in the afternoon. There is a cat on the property, so if your dog is known to be aggressive towards them please let me know and I will ensure they don't meet!
