Melodie has always loved animals, and seems to connect with them in a very unusual way, that they seem to feel safe, relaxed and understood. Over the years I have seen Melodie grown attached to puppies when we go on holiday cats and horses when we visit the when we visit the Docklands Esquestrian Centre. Although we are not permitted to have dogs in our current home, we have a pet Terrapin which we have had for several years and Melodie has a special bond with it since primary school days, Now that she is planning to go to university she has made arrangements to for r the terrapin to stay off campus with a friend of hers so she can visit and check on him, as she is not allowed pets on Campus when she starts in September 2019. I have seen how Melodie attends to stray cats and dogs in a kind manner too. There was at least 2 occasions I remember when Melodie assisted her brother with looking after pet dogs of their friends in our home. Our neighbours do not like dogs so we would not keep a dog in our current home.
