Hi there! My name is Mellisa and I am a student at SBCC. I am a biology major hoping to soon transfer into a veterinary program. I love animals and have always had pets. I have been house sitting for four years and I love it. I love spending time with all pets but dogs especially. I am also a runner for those with very active dogs. I have experience with pets that need an inhaler and/or medication. I am patient and would be a great person to take care of your dogs! I have volunteered at both ASAP and DAWG in Goleta Why I love dog sitting I have always been a dog lover. I have experience working with many different sizes and breeds. My experience administering medication Yes. I like to be shown the best way to administer and then I can take it from there.

6/14/14 Mellisa did a wonderful job with our 3 dogs (Yellow Labs/Australian Shepard). She recently stayed overnight and walked three large dogs with no problems at all . She texted us pictures throughout the weekend as we had requested : ) She was very responsible and trustworthy to let into our home and take care of our very much loved dogs. Certainly would use her again when planning to be out of town.
Mellisa was so fantastic with our cat Miko! Miko has asthma and Mellisa was fearless when administering her pills and inhaler. We also have a bunny that Mel took care of. She kept in contact with us with daily texts that gave us peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our trip and not have to worry. Miko was happy and calm she we got home.
I were so thankful for Mellisa's prompt response to my request to watch my beloved Lily (cat). Mellisa did a fantastic job making friends will Lily. When I have left Lily before she was angry and despondent when I came home - not when Mellisa cared for her! Lily was happy, didn't act lonely and was happy to see me when I got home. She did an amazing job. I had great peace of mind.

A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog As much is necessary as a starter. I am a runner and am able to take your dog walking or running as needed for the energy level of the dog. For overnights, I try to spend as much time at your home as possIble because I know all dogs react differently when they do not see their owner(s) for extended periods of time. I also have a part-time job but am able to work with my schedule pretty well.
