Pet care experience
I have my own 3yo Samoyed that I raised from puppyhood that is friendly and playful and loves other dogs, especially puppies. Before getting my own, I also helped care for a housemate's dog for 5 years and have dogsitted for many others. I am reliable and responsive and you can expect as many updates about your dog as you request -- whether that's very often or only in case of emergency (if you want a peaceful getaway).We enjoy being active and outdoors and would love to take your dog to the park or out for a jog or hike if that's what it likes!

Melissa was absolutely great with our lab Jake! She sent us pictures and text updates every day. Jake especially loved her puppy Luna, and they grew very close during the duration of his stay with them. I would absolutely recommend Melissa!
Melissa was wonderful during Hank's dog boarding for 3 nights! She sent us pictures during the stay, let us have flexible hours when dropping him off and picking him up, and she even put him in his favorite football jersey on Saturday when his football team was playing! Great experience overall, and we would definitely use her again!
Melissa was wonderful for doggie daycare! She sent us updates throughout the day and was extremely flexible with his drop off and pick up times. This was an excellent trial run for our dog boarding a couple of weeks later with her!

We live in a single family home with fully fenced yard for your dog to run around. We are able to give plenty of attention are care throughout the day, and our house is fairly dog-proofed so there's not much for them to get into.

General demeanor, how active it is, usual daily schedule, how it gets along with humans and other dogs. We have a dog of our own and we prefer to meet ahead of time to see if they are compatible (she gets along with most everybody).
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood, visits to dog parks, visits to the dog beach, or short dog-friendly hikes -- whichever activities interest your pup! We can also play in our fenced backyard, of course.

I and/or my husband are able to be home full time so your dog will always have company. I work (remotely) but am able to give plenty of attention and potty breaks throughout the day. We typically do walks at least 2-3 times a day, spend lots of time in our fenced backyard, and visit parks a couple times a week.
