I have been watching family and friend's pets for quite some time now. This paired with my experience as a Veterinarian Assistant for about 15 years in different environments, I feel that I am very qualified and one of the best choices when it comes to choosing someone to take care of your pet(s). Whether that is for an overnight stay, a check in visit to make sure your cat is happy and has a clean box or for a fun walk on a trail with your pup, I'm your gal! I am well versed in giving medications, fluids, and injections, I'm not scared to clean up any mess your pet may leave behind, and I am quick to notice if something isn't quite right with them. I am comfortable with cats, dogs, pocket pets like guinea pigs, and I also have experience caring for chickens, small turtles, bearded dragons and some birds! I don't mind giving baths and some minor grooming like brushing or helping trim your pet's nails. I'll be your pet's favorite Aunt in no time!

After moving to the suburbs we had been looking for a new pet sitter. We found a gem when we found Melissa. She bonded with Willow immediately during the meet and greet. We felt really good about her, too. Melissa spent one night with Willow and we felt so comfortable knowing she was taking care of our baby. Lots of pics and great communication throughout. We highly recommend Melissa and we already have plans to have her stay with Willow again.
As always, Melissa was a perfect best friend for Casey while we were away!

It's very important for me to know if your pet is on any medications, has any medical/health issues or allergies, that way I can be aware of anything to look for, treats they can't have, etc. Also please let me know of any behavior issues so I can make sure they are things I'm comfortable working with. I really appreciate honesty on this to ensure the safety of myself and your pet.
A typical day
Depends on what your pet likes to do! Their play time or exercise time is their time and it should be spent doing what they enjoy best. If it's a game of fetch or tug, a walk on a trail or just around the neighborhood, they get it! I love being out in nature so trails or things like that are my favorite. Doggie pool time or splash pads are also fun too if they enjoy that!
