Pet care experience
I've cared for cats and dogs since I was a young child with interests in becoming a vet. Although I did not pursue that career path, I have 3 years experience as a Veterinary Assistant and many more years experience caring for and fostering special needs animals. Working with shelters as a trained foster pet-parent, I also have experience in socializing undersocialized and highly anxious pets. I currently live with my two special needs cats (Otis and Jinxy) and two friendly, but shy, foster cats (Winnie and Silverbelle), that I am socializing.

Melissa is AMAZING. She took such great care of our dog while we were away for the weekend. He quickly warmed up to her when typically he can be a bit timid and scared. She sent us lots of wonderful updates while we were away which allowed us to really enjoy our trip with no worries. She messaged me right away when our little guy had an upset stomach and she helped to make him feel better quickly. I would recommend Melissa over & over again!

Availability
I currently work a flexible schedule that allows me to work from home most days of the week. On days that I work on-site, I spend 6-8 hours in the office. My schedule can usually be adjusted for pets that need more care.
