Friendly dog loving household
Pet care experience
I've been living with dogs my whole life. Everything from Golden Retrievers, to Chihuahuas and currently a Vizsla pup! My Vizsla is called Arya, she just turned one year old and is a super friendly dog who loves nothing more than a play. She is also very happy to share her abundance of toys and puzzles with other fury guests who come to stay - so your dog will never get bored! I have been looking after my family, friends and neighbours dogs of all ages and sizes for the past three years, including walking, feeding and of course playing with our fury friends.
Reviews
Harley had the most wonderful time with Mel! He came back absolutely zonked out which is quite a tough task. Mel was reliable and friendly. We will definitely be booking again
Melissa was the best person we could had asked for to look after Ozzy for a few nights. Ozzy was walked twice a day, made new friends and was safe and comfortable. Overall we felt our dog was in reliable and trustworthy hands as Melissa would send us regular photos of Ozzy and updates throughout his stay. Let's just say Ozzy didn't want to come home!
Melissa is an amazing dog sitter, she looked after Harley so so well a few months back and can honestly say he loves going back to see her and Arya. Melissa looks after all dogs like they're her own and has immense experience having raised her own puppy also. Couldn't recommend her any more.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced off back garden with plenty of room for your dog to run around in with 1001 ropes, balls and toys scattered around to play with. Dogs are also allowed on our furniture and bed once they are tired out from all the play.

Information Melissa S. would like to know about your pet
Let us know if your dog has any special requirements or needs, so that I can cater. I will also want to know if there are any medical issues or allergies that I should be aware of. Knowing your dogs daily routine can also be helpful for me to know as routines make dogs feel secure and will help them to settle whilst their owners are away. How do you tend to reward good behaviour? Some dogs love treats, others love play! It would be good to know how best to tell your dog that they have done a good job. This is also the same with bad behaviour - are there any commands I need to know, for example? Dogs are allowed on furniture and in my bed. However, I understand that some owners may not like this as this is not the rule back home! Letting me know will allow me to do my best to set the right boundaries for your dog. Does your dog have any triggers? What are they scared of? What will they react too? I.e. the sound of a vacuum cleaner, a thunder storm, sound of a train, etc. Can your dog be left alone? And for how long?
A typical day
I love to stimulate our dogs both mentally and physically. My day starts off with a long walk through the park and/or woods. During the day we will play fetch and scent games in my garden. If the weather is bad I also have a bunch of dog games and puzzles that can keep dogs entertained for hours. I also have (filled) kongs, stimulating toys, chews and bones that dogs are able to enjoy as well. Dogs will always be supervised during this, however I will always ask the owners permission to use chews, bones and treats as stimulation.

Availability
I am currently working from home full time. I usually do two big walks a day (morning and after work), either in Highgate Wood, Coldfall Wood or Hampstead Heath. I can also do shorter walks in between to suit your dogs needs. My partner is also around working from home as well, so there will be two of us to keep your dogs entertained throughout the day and take them on midday walks (which my partner loves to do!).
